As i was busy Tweeting last night, some guy called @MakuhanaD on twitter started creating fake tweets, editing them with the RT and then tag celebs so that it looks like they really said we should follow him, pssss I mean really now Lol? Is it the death of tabloid journalism?

Ok I always knew that the state of tabloid journalism in South Africa is poor or should I say low? You know on Sundays when you wake up you just wanna go buy a Sunday newspaper and read interesting celebrity news but immediately when you open it you just *yawn*, like are we really subjected to read about Khanyi Mbau every Sunday?? Whenever you open Sunday world- you bound to see her, aren’t there any other celebrities doing other stuff.

This are the times when I miss Cassandra’s natural biting style, I would always read her work while she was still doing Candid Cassandra with City Press, she would tell it like it is and you will want to go back and buy another issue to hear what she has to say for the week.

Hai mina I really don’t know hey, is it the death of tabloid journalism? The other thing that destroys tabloid journalists is to make friends with celebrities; this is something that will affect them in terms of reporting, like it’s a bore to read an article where someone is sucking up like WTF? Excuse my French. Now I’m depending on Just Curious and Jucy SA for entertainment news

Tjo I got busted again!!!!!

Lol this is the second time I got busted for my writing. Firstly it was Adhiambo, the producer of SA Fashion week. I called her pinky pinky in some article and she set next to me at the Africa Fashion Week Media launch and confronted me, I felt so small you don’t understand but I’m glad she understood that it’s just a job, nothing personal.

My second time was with Farrah Francis from City Press, Lol it was worse because she was sitting with her colleagues and I introduced myself, she was like: OMG are you Lebo? And I was like yeah with confidence mind you? and she said I was not impressed with your article on your blog. I honestly couldn’t remember it but when I got home I was like DANG!!! I actually wrote shit. Eish i guess it’s true that Jozi is a small world, who would have thought that she’s gonna see the blogpost. At least she wasn’t mad at me, i then again felt guilty. Hahahaha you gotta Love Journalism.

Popstars with a major come back.

Popstars South Africa will air on E.tv. from 4 September 2010.A press release from e.tv. reads: "The new season promises to bring more twists, turns and stings in the tail when aspiring singers compete for the ultimate prize: celebrity status as a popstar.

Zac Efron is to star in and produce a new comedy.

Wow Zac is doing it big hey, from being a high school star in HSM now he’s moving into bigger things.
The 'High School Musical' actor will work on the as-yet-untitled project from the writer of '17 Again', Jason Filardi.
The "workplace" based comedy could be produced by Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot, who are in negotiations to work on the movie, The Hollywood Reporter claims.
'17 Again' — which also starred 'Friends' actor Matthew Perry — grossed R952-million worldwide in 2009, convincing executives to invest in work starring Zac.
This would be one of the first movies worked on by Zac's production company, the newly named Ninjas Runnin' Wild Prods.
Other projects planned include time travel story 'Einstein's Theory' and 'Art of Steal'.
Zac will next be seen in fantasy romance 'Charlie St. Cloud' — which also stars Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger and Dave Franco.

Campus lifestyle-the stereotype

Are you Ghetto rough or Snobbish?

It is very easy to draw the distinguishing line between a ghetto rough students and a snobbish student. One can tell these two types of students apart by the way they walk, their accents, their clothing styles and lastly their level of “sophistication”. We have mentioned that UJ is a massive and rapidly growing university, one sees all these different kinds of students walking around on campus and thinks: OMG!! That’s so hood or flip she’s such a snob… This is how one would most likely identify a snob or a hood rat as they make their way around campus…

Ghetto Rough students

What do they wear?

You will see them wearing “Samson Overalls”, a typical plain Levi’s jean. A lack of creativity is their disease. Carvelas “awe my bro”, need I say more? They also like wearing Dickies from head to toe. Then they have to accessorise with too much bling, especially gold necklaces, bracelets and rings which just scream “Fake! Fake! Fake!”

What do they eat?

Chelsea Buns,iKota (bunny chow) and, oh wait that’s it...

Where do they party?

It’s either at the Shosholoza tavern in Brixton drinking Black label or just chilling at some corner, as they have a strong fascination with corners. They only hit the dance floor, when they hear hard beats along with lyrics like “ayoyo, ayeye, woza, bona. They usually are the last to leave the “club”.

What kind of music do they like?

Their favourite song has to be: Mnike by Arthur, DJ Call Me-Marry me, Mgarimbe -Sista Bettina, Culture Spears-Kulenyane and, the list goes on and on.

Snobbish students

What do they wear?

Swag, swag and even more stylish swag. They are elegant and always make fashion statements on campus. To them a Converse - All-star is acceptable because it is ghetto fabulous, so here an exception is allowed. One may see most of these students at the Joburg Sanlam and Audi Fashion Week, clutching desperately to empty cocktail glasses. Eish mara nabob ba thanda izinto zamahala, that includes me

Their lifestyles:

Class best defines snobs. They don’t play pool and card games as they’re keep themselves entertained with the Xbox 360 or Ps3instead. Not so much into sports, unless there’s an air conditioner in the playing field. They all have reputations to maintain so, queues and public service environments are taboo for them... you’ll never find them at the Labs or Helen Joseph.

Where they party?
Club Inc is one of the places of which snobs are willing to be seen queuing before entry. They are fond of celebrity events and concerts...VIP and Media section only. Always out for dinner and drinks at Capello, Cofi, and expensive restaurants in Sandton. They feel very insulted if you invite them for drinks at News Cafe, Campus Square.

What music do they like?

They are psyched by the latest Alternative Rock and Pop music. Not so much into Rhythm and Blues but, tolerates the likes of Beyonce and Alicia Keys. Snobs love Hip – Hop, as most of their clothing style is influenced by this genre. They can hardly speak Afrikaans but, don’t be shocked when seeing them at Oppikopi or the Beer Fest.

LOL don’t even ask in which category i fall under, hai. Buy me a BlackBerry and I will tell you, even more. Please? And it doesn’t mean I’m a begger, coz it’s a win win situation, i tell you in which category i fall under and you give me that damn phone. Yes you see?

Freshly Ground Cd review

Freshly Ground-Radio Africa

Radio Africa is their fourth album, and they still doing it big. Freshly Ground has recently released their new album Radio Africa. It’s something different from their previous work, now they became all African. The only thing similar about their work is the fact that they still have love songs, Fire is Low is one of the lead single being played by most radio stations. Moto-their first track in the album, is a traditional song Southern African song sang in Shona, which brings their diversity. They have powerful lyrics, from sad stories, politics, happiness and love songs. The songs that stand out for me is Baba, Fire is Low and Baby in silence. There is nothing hectic or dramatic about their sounds, so if you looking for drama, try something else. Freshly Ground has proven that they will remain a household name in the music industry with the producers they work with, they never bring you same sounds to every album.
